Ephesians 1:7-9 NKJ - "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself."
How do we value ourselves in these days? Often, we allow others to dictate our worth, measuring ourselves by societal standards or material possessions. We might think that our value comes from what we own, how we look, or the accolades we receive. Yet, Ephesians reminds us that our true value is rooted in the redemptive work of Christ. His blood, shed for us, provides a profound and eternal measure of worth that transcends any earthly appraisal.
When we understand that our redemption comes at such a high price, it shifts our perspective entirely. The grace that GOD pours out on us is not contingent on our achievements or failures; rather, it stems from His love and purpose for our lives. This grace invites us into a relationship with Him where our worth is intrinsic and unshakeable. In knowing this, we can reject the lies that seek to diminish our value and embrace our identity as beloved children of GOD created for His good pleasure.
Moreover, this understanding empowers us to view others through the same lens of grace. Just as we are valued by the sacrifice of Christ, so too is everyone around us. This creates a community of encouragement and support, where we uplift one another and recognize the inherent worth bestowed upon each individual. The mystery of GODS will, revealed through His Son, invites us to live out our identities boldly, reminding us that our lives are reflections of His grace in action. In this truth, we find not only our value but also our purpose in extending that grace to the world. GOD bless. Share with your family and friends.
