Isaiah 40:3-5 NKJ - 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth; 5 The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
This prophetic word from the prophet Isaiah is meant to comfort GOD'S people. It is a promise for all of humanity, speaking about the coming of the Messiah Who would bring restoration, redemption, and healing; the Seed that was promised to Abraham would flip everything upside-down; the broken will be healed; the hated will be loved; the despairing will have peace, and sadness will turn into joy.
Whenever God steps into an environment, He changes the entire landscape. When the mountains and the valleys witness the Most High, they make haste to prepare a pathway that honors Him. Even the power of the mighty ocean is humbled by the presence of God. Psalm 77:16 says, "The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled." Whether it is the heights of the mountains, the depths of the valleys, or the power and dread of the seas, nothing can withstand the might of our God.
This is true even of our circumstances. Whatever trial or persecution you may be experiencing at the moment, it pales in comparison to what God can do in your life. If you feel like your problems are too big, our God is far bigger! GOD bless.
