The Story of Amazing Grace

Luke 23:34 NKJ - Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots.

How many know that Mercy climbed onto a chariot and rode up the eternal mountain of God in order to reach us?

He rode across the universe, passing through the stars and planets. He swirled by the graveyard of humanity, making dry bones come to life by the power of His word. Seeing that humanity was doomed by their own wickedness, he became the propitiation for our sins in order to save the lost and uphold His justice.

The Son of God came to earth, not to be worshipped and adorn, but to be beaten and spat on, slapped and scourged, taking on all shame and burdens for humanity's sake. As Jesus hung on the cross, Mercy said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).

Death rode back and forth on a pale horse at the base of Calvary until He finally stormed up Golgotha's hillside.

After uttering the words, "It is finished," the Son of God breathed His last. They then took His lifeless body off the Cross as His flesh was exposed and His brow beaten. They wrapped Him in grave clothes and laid Him in a borrowed tomb. But on the third day, Mercy came out of the tomb. His countenance was like lightning, and His garment was as white as snow. He had conquered the grave; He is risen! He has proven that He has victory over death, and all who would choose to put their faith and trust in Him Whom death could not hold down, would share in the power of the same resurrection! He is risen! Let us be the generation that rises up with Him! That is Mercy's message. GOD bless.
