The LORD Knows The Unknown

Jeremiah 30:17 - NKJV - "For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,

‘Because they called you an outcast saying:

“This is Zion;

No one seeks her.” ’

When a once united nation of Israel divided into opposing halves, many nations mocked the possibility that they would ever be united again. Yet the LORD dismissed the popular doubt in favor of what He promised to do in the future, saying that He would heal and restore what had been lost.

The question is, "What has been lost?" Peace, stability, joy, faithfulness, and self-control have all been lost by Israel and others. Despite the mountain of doubt stacked against the possibility of a restored Israel, God had spoken, and His word would not return to Him void (see Isaiah 55:11).

God's promise spoke on what could not be seen with the physical eye, but instead, with what could only be seen through the eyes of faith. By faith, we are able to step into the unknown with confidence in the God that we most definitely know. He was faithful with His promises to Israel in the ancient past and is faithful all the way into eternity (see 2 Timothy 2:13)! Therefore, He is faithful today even when your environment does not look hopeful. Wait on the LORD Who knows all things!

GOD bless.
