Zephania 3:17 NKJ -
17 The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love He will rejoice over you with singing.”
We have all had experiences where people get tired of being around us after a certain period of time and vice versa. Maybe those same people used to enjoy our company but have now lost interest for different reasons. Maybe you used to enjoy being around someone until you didn't. We lack an interest in something or someone when we don't have anything to be excited about. People get tired of us, and we get tired of people. However, our LORD and Savior is completely different.
His love for us gives Him joy over us. He is so joyful when it comes to us that He will sing over us like a mother sings over her child when they cry. This is true even in the literal sense. How many times have you cried from being overwhelmed with your circumstances? How many times have you cried from loneliness or heartache? In those very moments, the Great Comforter covers us with His Love. When we decide to lean on Him in those moments, He sings over us with His goodness and mercy. This is why David was able to confidently state, "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life."
Even when we get tired of things pertaining to God, God never gets tired of us. Even when we find the things of God boring, God is never bored with us. In fact, the bible says that He rejoices over us with gladness. How can it be that the infinite God can rejoice over a finite being? He loves us more than we could truly know.
Whatever you are facing at this moment, meditate on the truth that the LORD rejoices over being with you and sings songs of gladness for you. Thank you Jesus! GOD bless.
