2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NKJ - 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as the sufferings
of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
Discomfort is something all humans are trying to avoid. It goes against our desires because we naturally do not like to be uncomfortable. What we discover, however, is that uncomfortable situations are what tend to cause the most amount of growth 6 our lives. It is often through pain and discomfort that we learn the most from. Yet, the discomfort is not eternal.
According to the bible, in our discomfort, the LORD makes an appearance in order to comfort us in all our tribulation. As the Great Comforter, God intervenes in our discomfort so that we do not fall into despair. If we suffer as Christ suffered, then the consolation of God abounds. The more discomfort we experience as followers of Jesus, the more we experience God's consolation. Part of the beauty of this process is that it results in a healthy cycle of the comforter comforting the discomforted with the same comfort they received from the source.
Whenever you experience discomfort, seek comfort and consolation of God. GOD bless.
