Genesis 3:8-9 NKJ - 8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”
GOD is all-knowing, Omniscient; He knew Adam and Eve had disobeyed Him by eating from the tree He commanded them not to eat. Yet, in His fairness and love, He still showed up at the best time to meet them—"in the cool of the day." Not only did He show up, but He also called out to them, “Adam, where are you?” Despite their disobedience, GOD pursued them. Adam and Eve, however, hid from their Creator, choosing to run from the very One who could restore them. This same tendency to hide from GOD in our moments of failure and sin still exists today.
However, in the midst of their hiding, GOD did not abandon them. In His justice, He could have easily condemned them, but instead, He called them back to Himself, offering them a chance for reconciliation. GOD’s pursuit is always with the hope of restoration. The beauty of His justice is that He doesn't merely punish; He seeks us out, offering forgiveness and a path back to His presence. His love is relentless, and His fairness is not in retribution but in redemption. No matter how far we run or how deeply we fall, GOD's grace always shows up, ready to heal, restore, and bring us back into right relationship with Him. GOD bless, share with your family and friends.
