Colossians 2:9-10 NKJ - 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
When God starts something, He does not leave it unfinished. The work of salvation began in Genesis, but by the time you got to the last book of the Old Testament (Malachi), it seemed to be unfinished. However, God never leaves things incomplete because He is the God of completion.
Jesus says in Matthew 5:17, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." Jesus came to finish what He started. Was He able to accomplish what He came to do? Spoiler alert, He did! In John 19:30, after fulfilling the work of salvation, Jesus declared, “It is finished!”
The word "shalom" can be used as a greeting but also means completeness or wholeness. It is no coincidence that this word is often translated as peace. After all, the kind of peace shalom represents is one where nothing is missing. Because our God is the God of completeness, He can restore all that was lost. He can take what is incomplete and make it complete. Thanks to the work of Jesus, that which was missing has now been made whole! Let Christ complete your life today! GOD bless.
