1 King 15:14-15 - 14 But the high places were not removed. Nevertheless, Asa’s heart was loyal to the Lord all his days. 15 He also brought into the house of the Lord the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which he himself had dedicated: silver and gold and utensils.
Loyalty is the act of respect and honor toward a person. We can only act in this manner when we are in a relationship bound by love. Loyalty implies faithfulness, submission, love, and respect. If you are in a relationship with someone and choose not to be loyal to them, then you do not respect that person.
You may say that you love and respect them, but your actions speak with a weight that is much heavier. This is how we often treat God; we always say that we love, respect, and honor Him, yet our actions tend to always betray what we say by giving God rebelliousness instead of faithfulness; betrayal instead of loyalty.
However, if we are loyal to Him Who has always been loyal to us, we open up the doors of Heaven for God's blessings to fall upon us.
If God has always been faithful despite our unfaithfulness and loyal despite our disloyalty, how can we respond to His loyal love by doing the same after becoming aware of this? Let us be loyal to the One Who has always thought about best for us and the best of us. It is so rewarding to rest in the peace of knowing that our loyalty to God is not wasted but is a breeding ground for the blessings of His presence! GOD bless.
