When Jesus heard it, He said unto them, they that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Scripture reference is (Mark 2:17).
Jesus did not wait until we were ready to come and save us because He understood we would never be righteous enough! often we take a wrong turn as we walk the path of righteousness. We feel bruised and guilty and know we need to get back into the church or start studying more. We think we must become 'better ' before taking that step because we judge ourselves with an unreasonable magnifying glass.
Jesus calls us worried and burdened to follow Him, and He will give them rest. No matter how far we have drifted, GOD will never forsake us, and we can always come before Him even though we feel unworthy. Dear Jesus, we lose our footing as we walk the path of righteousness please guide us back to Your loving arms, even when we feel unworthy, Amen.
