Isaiah 30:26 NKJ
26 Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun,
And the light of the sun will be sevenfold,
As the light of seven days,
In the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people
And heals the stroke of their wound.
There are so many things in this sinful world that can cut through our hearts and wound our souls deeply. For example, losing a job, losing a house, or any kind of material possession, broken relationships, and the list goes on. Losing our loved ones is one of the most painful things we will continue to experience here on earth until Jesus returns.
Yet, it is in the midst of our pain that we encounter Jehovah-Rapha, the GOD who heals and restores. In Christ, we find ultimate healing—not just from physical or emotional wounds, but from the deeper brokenness of sin that affects all of humanity. Jesus, through His sacrifice on the cross, bore our deepest hurts and burdens, and in His resurrection, He offers us the restoration of life and hope. As we surrender our wounds to Him, He binds up our broken hearts and pours His peace into our spirits. In the light of His love, our wounds can be healed, and we can find the strength to rise again, knowing that ultimate healing comes from His finished work on the cross.
