Hebrews 10:24-25 NKJ - 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another,
and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
There is NO better place to be than to be in the presence of those who love the LORD. It is different when you are around negative people who do not love the LORD. Those who love the LORD will exhort you and support you through your trials and tribulations. When we isolate ourselves in our own space, we become the targets of Satan and his demons.
It is easy to fall into the trap of blaming others for pushing us away when, in fact, we are the ones who have separated ourselves from the rest of the flock. Unfortunately, this is very common and prevalent among many churches today. People attend for a time, check off attending church from their to-do list, lose motivation, and then suddenly forsake the gathering of the saints. When asked why, the typical answer is usually a bombardment of excuses.
Make no mistake, gathering with believers is not only a good thing, but something that is encouraged by the bible. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." Galatians 6:2 says, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." The gathering of the saints is meant to benefit, build, and edify; this cannot happen when we are separated and isolated from the body of believers.
The bible warns us not to forsake the gathering of the saints and that many will be in the habit of doing so. However, my hope and prayer is that we do not find ourselves in this unhealthy cycle but are filled with the encouragement and peace in Christ Jesus to gather and edify the body as well as ourselves. GOD bless. Share with your family and friends.
