Do You Thirst For The Living Water?

Ezekiel 47:7-9 - NKJV -

" 7 When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other. 8 Then he said to me: "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. 9 And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes."

Jesus is the Living Water that flows from the sanctuary, giving life to everything He touches. After all, He is the source of all life on earth. When Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, He told her that whoever would drink from the water that He offers will have in them a fountain that springs up into everlasting life. He says that anyone who drinks from this Living Water will never "thirst" again."

How often do we drink from wells and other sources that will never quench our thirst? Maybe we seek water from social media, jobs, money, hobbies, family, friends, girlfriends, or boyfriends, thinking that these somehow have the power to quench our thirsty souls. However, anyone who has drunk from these sources will find out very quickly how often they find themselves thirsty again. The source they thought would quench their thirst only makes them thirstier.

There is only one source that can truly quench the thirst of our souls, and that is the Living Water that is Jesus. The problem is that we are frequently deceived into having a thirst for things that could never satisfy. When we decide to drink from the water that Jesus has, we will be healed from our iniquities and incompleteness. His Living Water will produce fresh fruit in us, causing us to be a source that exudes forth Living Water as well!

Psalm 42:1 says, "As the deer pants for the water, so my soul thirsts for you, O God." Do you thirst for the Living Water today?

GOD bless.
